I have just published my new book
titled SPEAKING
FROM MY MIND. The book is a true reflection of my passion for the arts
of writing and expression. I have always thought about life in a much deeper
sense, reflecting on the hard times and struggles that I have faced in life
living in different parts of the world. I have a firm conviction that the
lessons that I have learnt in my journey of life might give some people
somewhere in the world insights into how to deal with their life challenges or
change some aspects of their lives that may be hindering them from living the
life of their dream.
This book
discusses topics that many people are not exposed to, or are exposed to, but
for some reasons they live in denial and are unwilling to discuss. I believe
that there is no single way to make the world a better place. I think that we
can make a difference in people’s life through the things we write about and
the ways we write about them. Life is about learning and sharing experience.
This book is my own way of sharing my learning and experiences. It is my
moderate way of helping people to gain insights that can change their lives.
The book provokes many thoughts for readers to think about. It provokes readers
into thinking about life in different ways through a combination of stories
that may be imaginary and may be from the author’s personal experiences and
sobering challenges in life that some readers may find unconventional.
As the title suggests, the book
is about my thoughts and perceptions, which I expect readers to challenge.
Throughout the book I explored life and its challenges in different contexts
with different stories and analogies. The objective of this book is not to
portray conventional or popular ideas; rather it is to persuade readers’
conviction to see things differently. It is my way of speaking to people that I
may not have the opportunity to speak to directly. In some cases the ideas in
the book may risk oversimplification and I acknowledge that I do not possess
any superior knowledge in the areas that I discussed in the book.
